Who the Fuck Starts a Blog in 2026

ok so we made a blog. in 2026. and we're calling it a magazine, because "magazine" sounds cooler.

but why?

we wanted a better archive of what happens at Black Planet, that's our own, instead of Meta or whatever. we wanted more long content that can't fit into a 60 second reel.

we wanted a place you can just come back to whenever you want, not when Insta or TikTok's algo wants you to. we wanted an organized, permanent archive we own. we wanted more connection with you.

we're probably just gonna shitpost and yap about a lot of stuff we always wanted to but were afraid would spam our mailing lists and feeds, or get 10 likes for a heartfelt post.

here we write, hopefully you read, we won't overthink. we have 13,000 members. even if 100 of you a month read this blog (sorry, magazine) we'll be more than happy.

ok this is kind of starting to sound like we're convincing ourselves this was a good move and that it won't be ridiculous to start a blog in 2026. you're right. we are doing that. we did it anyway. it's done.

STOP OVERTHINKING.

we'll find excuses to drag you here too, hehe. we'll post the set tracklists you always asked about here, etc.

will be a fun magazine. hopefully.
